Our #1 Goal this year is to record our first CD. I have been doing some research into studio costs, royalty payments for the songs we will use, material costs from the CD manufacturer, assembling a list of songs we will record, etc. There is a lot of work ahead, including securing the funds to complete the project. I will have to sell 50% of the discs just to break even, but in order to move forward with the band in think a CD would be very helpful. We’ve be asked many times at jobs if we have a CD for sale, so I think we may do pretty well. I will update you from time to time on the progress we are making.

Why “Blue Moon”?

I’ve included a graphic of a Blue Moon in our new logo because of what if suggests. A blue moon is a rare event only happening about every 2.5 years. When we play out “Live”, so many people come up to the band stand and say “you can’t hear a band like this anywhere” and “boy the band sure sounds great”. We like to think that we have something uncommon, valuable, something that people want to hear. Hopefully you feel the same way. Let me know what you think.
