What a cold Spring and then overnight Summer arrives. May have to put the AC in the window this weekend. I should have called it a “Summer Sale”. Got to buy a new fan w/metal blades. Got some money for my birthday, I was just waiting for a sale. Anyone know who has a 18” or larger fan on sale? I’m sitting here sweating while writing this post. Maybe I should arrange some christmas songs for the Little Big Band to help cool off. Stay Cool my friends...

LBB Songlist Updated

I just uploaded a new songlist for the Little Big Band. with many new song choices for the band, including new rock selections: Killing Me Softly for Michelle Duvall - Everything by Michael Buble and Stand By Me for me. Do you remember Spooky by the Atlanta Rhythm Section or Soul Bossa Nova from the Austin Powers movies? We’ve got those now. I also added a chart on Puttin’ On The Ritz for you dancers. If you would like to hear a particular song not on the list played by us at a future performance, just let me know. I would like to know what songs you want to hear.

Feb. March & April were busy months for the Music Preparation wing of Sheley Musical Services. I had a large project transcribing 7 songs for a popular Midwest band. In addition, I had another transcription for a school band in Iowa a song by the Youngblood Brass band and lastly a transcription of Luck Be a Lady” for Big Band as sung by Bobby Caldwell in the movie “The Cooler”. Numerous score reductions were completed as well as some of the Little Big Band Charts. It’s good to be busy.

Well, Sort of.... I like to keep things fresh and clean if I can. Hence a new web design. I’ve always leaned towards a simple site. Not a lot of extraneous stuff.
